You can never have too many tablet pens floating around. The rubber case the Epic comes with does not fit in this case. It would have been nice if it did fit as it would help protect the Epic from absorbing more shock when dropped. However, it probably would make it too bulky. My young kids (6yrs and 3 yrs) actually prefer this case over the rubber Epic case because it is not as bulky as the rubber case the Epic comes with. I was worried that it wouldn't protect the Epic as well, but actually I think it protects it better. Mostly because they keep this case on it! hahaThe case absorbs shock well (as shown to us by the 3 year old), and protects the screen when not in use. It slides a little in the case but not enough for the kids to notice. It is made very well. We will be getting a lot of use out of these cases- Probably longer than the Epic itself! ;) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars very nice *by D***N on Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2023* this was great to add extra protection although the part where you put the flap in so it sits up did not hold very long and got wore out fast. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars 1 year *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 15, 2017* Okay, so my daughter has officially had this case for about a year. I had purchased the case in the bright pink of course. The product was very true to the picture and is just adorable. The case is very durable, the tablet has been dropped, dragged, sat upon, all dozens if not hundreds of times. My only negative is the appearance of it now compared to the day when it was first received. The case is overall darker and the designs have faded off. What is there to expect everywhere my daughter drags that thing, she loves it so I love it. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/19665885-i-unik-leapfrog-epic-and-leapfrog-epic-academy-edition-case](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/19665885-i-unik-leapfrog-epic-and-leapfrog-epic-academy-edition-case) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-28*
