It does have quite a strong flavour. It is not nice though in my opinion unless you toast it twice so it is crisper and looks toasted. I do it once on the highest setting them once on low to medium but watch it doesn't burn. It's lovely with fruit spread and cheese, butter and smoked salmon, mashed avocado and poached egg. What’s the average shelf life for this product? Thanks!** A: I just bought some of this bread on Amazon and it has an expiry date of 23 December 2020. It is extremely well sealed and so long as you keep it in a cool environment I think it lasts for a long time, potentially beyond its expiry date. Once opened you do need to keep it in the fridge and eat it within a week.
