The tortilla press is made out of cast iron Measures 7 ½ “in diameter Made in Mexico. *Note: This product has a coat of paint (from factory) in order to prevent rust to the metal. We recommend the use of wax paper on both plates in order to avoid direct food contact with the metal. The wax paper also helps easily remove the tortilla once it is pressed.

I love this!!! I received this not even a week ago and I've used it almost nightly! I am a Czech woman married to a Mexican man. This has been the best thing I have ever bought he says. Make sure you do not apply the Masa directly to the cast iron. I use plastic wrap on each side. I also am tempted to try out a clear shower cap on each side as I feel that will be perfect. I will do my best to make a video to show how awesome this product is and how easy it is to use and clean.NOTE: Not for use with flour tortillas.
