I was guessing 1/2 would be better than 3/8.** A: I am using this to supply air to my 4x8' plasma table. It seems to do a good job of knocking out the water. However, the chamber for the desiccant is quite small so you will be changing your beads fairly often if you are concerned about having the driest air possible. As to the 1/2" vs 3/8", this unit is rated at about 21CFM if my recollection is correct. Pipe size matters less than total flow rate @ X pressure. **Q: what is the max inlet pressure ?** A: Max in 215psi **Q: Will it seperate oil from lines as well?** A: Yes, oil will be separate from the COALESCING FILTER ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality piece!!! Made In USA *by R***E on January 18, 2017* 5 stars isn't enough for this product or the customer service of this company. I'm running a 60 gallon air compressor to supply air to a plasma cutter. This product took MINUTES to instal even for a guy with at best average intelligence like myself lol. Once installed and supplied the air, the regulator fired up and worked beautifully and with precision with absolutely no leaks. Both from a overall inspection and once more with bubbles at every thread and joint. This is very convenient since both threads on either side are 1/2" NPT which makes sense since everyone runs half inch supply line, either galv pipe or copper. Which means you don't have to go through the headache of buying EACH piece separately and reducing EACH piece into whatever mis-matched filters you find which is what I was doing before I found these guys. Not to mention CFM loss. I wish everything in the world was this easy and of this quality. When was the last time you were able to say that you spent money on something that you needed and it was exactly what you wanted and did exactly what it was supposed to do flawlessly and without hiccup, and that it didn't need some home grown modification to it to make it work right because it was made in wing ding china. Shipping was also very very fast. I contacted them by phone directly and they understand that this is very important to whatever business you are doing and that downtime is critical. They really went the extra mile for me to make sure I got a quality product and fast. Attached are some pictures. I'll be using these guys for everything air supply related in the future for sure. Great company. One more thing, This is the FIRST time I've ever written a review about anything online. Just had to do it on this one. Also, this company is in Georgia and I live in California. I got the product within three days. So do the math on that one, and they don't even charge for shipping. This is def cheaper and easier than buying each part separately. ### ⭐ Poor quality control. Leaked air right out of the box *by M***W on September 17, 2022* This product leaked air out the cheap little drain valve as soon as I hooked it up to air pressure. There was not way to shut off the leak or make it stop. I was going to use it to keep my shop air dry. ### ⭐⭐ Leaked beads into my air lines and broke a regulator. Only worked for less than 50 days. *by M***2 on May 1, 2018* Worked great for less than 50 days, I was almost in belief of the filtering system. Then the 3rd tube which holds the dessicant beads failed, put beads in my airlines and clogged up my blast cabinet regulator and busted my $50 regulator.
