I'm a girl and wear a small in clothing normally, so I wasn't sure if I shuld get the boy's size or go with the men's, and ended up getting the men's because I figured I could always pin it if it was too long. The bowtie itself looks pretty good, decent fabric of a satin-y sort and the pre-tied bow looked great right out of the package except for a minor crease near the bow that came out pretty well with some adjustment. The neck band is fully adjustable along the band, giving a pretty wide range of sizing from small enough for me (and even a bit smaller) to large enough for pretty much anybody. The tie fasted with a hook and metal loop, behind the bow and it doesn't seem to want to stay closed,but I'm sure I can fix that pretty easily by bending the hook and loop pieces some. The color was true to the picture and it matched a burgundy tie I had purchased from Men's Wearhouse quite well.
