It was placed in the middle of the tent, hanging down and the buddy heater below it. We didn’t need to use the fan to distribute the heat, but instead used the lights in the evening. Boy was it bright on the low setting. The medium lit the entire 10 person tent like a regular room light. After camping, I tried using it as a desktop fan while I work and it came in handy. There are three fan setting and I was perfectly fine with it on the low setting. I angled it so I could feel the breeze but not get too cold if it’s blowing directly in my face. I started to use it on Wednesday afternoon. It was perfect and I didn’t need to turn the big fan or AC on. Perfect solution. Continued to use it on Thursday and Friday. But forgot that it was on all weekend long. I didn’t even hear the fan running. That’s how quiet it was. Come Sunday evening, I sit at my desk to check emails and to my surprise this fan was still chugging along. It wasn’t breezy on low, it you could see that it’s spinning and get minimal feel of the wind. This lasted on brand new batteries all weekend long! I only deduct a star because of the switch. They’re too close to each other and instead of a slide switch it could be something else. Other than that, love this fan. The handle are good and don’t feel weird either. You can hang this or prop it up. Another great feature is that the led lights can go one way and the fan another.
