    The Kybalion 2.0

*by A***A on Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2017*

If you have read The Kybalion, then this is MUST read. It's written by the same author as The Kybalion (who used the pseudonym of Three Initiates) so it's pretty similar to it in terms of content, but it's organized and presented quite differently. The Kybalion was finished in 1908 and this one preceded it in 1909; it's basically a companion book or could be seen as The Kybalion 2.0!This book goes a little further into detail about the way in which the Cosmos and the infinite number of Universes were manifested, as well as the nature of the astral realms of existence and the things which dwell in those "places." The Kybalion is more like a book about theosophical philosophy and scientific principles with some occultism woven in, and The Arcane Teaching is more like a book about occultism with some theosophical philosophy woven in... if that makes any sense. One key difference from The Kybalion is that it has restructured the Universal Laws and Principles.Another key difference is that it describes The All (the Absolute "god" of everything) as NOT being a Mind. The author even hints to the reader that previous works on the subject have made the error of supposing that this Absolute power is a Mind which can think - he's most likely talking about his previous book, The Kybalion! The way in which the book was written is a little more advanced than The Kybalion (which seemed to be written for a broader audience using terminology which was easier to understand) and seems intended for the more serious students.Like The Kybalion, there are no rituals or guides by which to follow to do any kind of magick... Sorry to disappoint you if you were looking for such a book!

I would recommend reading this with a highlighter and some flashcards

Interesting read. It's similar to the Kybalion, but goes a into more detail. It's also a bit more dry in it's delivery. It can be hard to keep track of some of the concepts at times, I would recommend reading this with a highlighter and some flashcards. My only real complaint is the redundancy the author often uses to drive home a point. Even so, it's still worth a read for some one who is wanting a better understanding of hermetic principles.

Fundamental for the occult seeker and true practicer of the philosophies

*by M***S on Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2018*

It's pretty much what I expected. A brilliant logic drift upon both the basic aspects of the perceivable reality and the conceivable possibilities which lies intangible.I see some regarded this work as a mere ciclic, loose drift uppon semantics. I understand why they reached this conclusion. But they're just incomplete on their statement as possible. In the lack of understanding all everything seems foolish.William's approach, for instance, is quite non-religious even though all of their perspectives are not left untouched. It will probably keep religious mystiques either satisfied or enraged, trapped in their cognitive bias while truly serving the true occult seekers with a considerable myriad of new possibilities to consider and ponder.
