Review: It's A Game Changer - This is an initial review. I'll be updating it as milestones in usage and experience warrant. First thoughts: I was apprehensive about purchasing a new vocal/ guitar effects unit. My experience was that they invariably were difficult to use in a live performance capacity. This one so far seems to belie that. I will say that I have read the downloadable pdf complete manual and I recommend doing that. However the presets of the unit are well programmed so you don't HAVE to be a programming whiz. I do recommend getting at the very least the optional "Switch 3" sold seperately. I got one on sale for about 35 bucks. You'll see why when you get one. I do recommend the unit. It has great harmony capabilities and the guitar "body rez" setting is astounding. Getting an acoustic guitarvto sound miked without a mic is a feature well worth the price. Next step: Using it for live gigs. Will let you know.

**Q: Can you use the harmonizing features based solely on your voice and ignore the guitar?  In case I misplay a chord it won't try to harmonize to it.**
A: NO.
You must have a chordal structure from a guitar, or keyboard, etc.  going into the amp before you get true harmony.  That's the only way the harmony generator knows what key you're in and what to actually harmonize with.  Without chords coming in, the harmony will be "free-lance" or random, sounding like shi-t!  Learn your chords!

**Q: Is the looper easier to work than a Ditto, which you have to press twice to stop and keep playing and singing**
A: A little.  The looper on the VoiceLive is probably the easiest.

**Q: Can I play both a 6 string and 12 string together with a friend or by looping one and then swiching to other with a 1/4" Y connector plugged in both?**
A: Yes, you can build a switch station and direct guitars I use three.

**Q: I don't play guitar. Can you feed this thing karaoke input and still have it process vocals for harmonies and correction?**

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ TC Helicon Play Acoustic Lives Up to It's Marketing Hype

This unit lives up to the hype for a remarkably affordable price. I've been playing and performing for over 30 years. In recent years I've ventured into solo acoustic performance. I had been using my trusty Fractal Axe FX II ($3,000) which I love, but decided it was way too much functionality and complexity for my solo act. TC Helicon's unit does things that the Fractal could not. Just key sensing for harmonies alone is a huge win for playing solo. I highly recommend this unit for anyone that performs live or just wants to play around in their basement. It manages to pack lots of features into an easy to use unit. I'm looking forward to doing songs I wouldn't have dared try on the Fractal. I'm actually doing Seven Bridges Road with this thing and it sounds amazing. The Vocal effects are great and the Harmonizer is out of this world. My Taylor sounds great through it. My setup time has been cut in half.
