## Description

Product Description Prepare yourself for a gripping, exhilarating ride when DragonForce release their much-anticipated US debut, 'Inhuman Rampage' on Roadrunner Records. The album’s title is an apt summation of a devastating musical journey, an unstoppable force that the six-man group brings forth on tour, leaving devastated cities in its wake. Combining the primal force of Power Metal with hard-earned musical proficiency, influences from band members’ various cultural backgrounds and generous quantities of muscular melody in a unique style that they call 'Extreme Power Metal', DragonForce have established themselves as THE premiere international Heavy Metal export. The US version contains an enhanced video of "Through The Fire & Flames". Review "DragonForce are as metal as f**k", "They'll be enormous". -- METAL HAMMER (UK)"DragonForce are getting bigger. Prepare for the onslaught!" -- KERRANG! (UK)"DragonForce could become the first British metal band in ages to reap respect from all over the world." -- ROCK HARD (Germany)

About the Artist After speeding to international sales over 85,000 in just three months, Dragonforce is poised to dominate the US. This 6-piece power metal band has no comparison. Combining blistering solos with epic choruses the band is ready to change the face of metal. Since forming in London in 1999, Dragonforce has taken UK, European and Japanese audiences by storm. 2003's debut album Valley Of The Damned set the stage and standard for a sound brimming with speed, technicality, catchiness and most importantly a lot of fun. On the heels of their first headlining US tour in May, the buzz on the street is growing and spreading through an infectious word of mouth reaching fans of all genres. The band returns to the states this summer on the mainstage at OZZFEST. See more

    Great Music!

*by M***1 on Reviewed in the United States on September 4, 2011*

but the formula that 7 of the 8 songs are written in gets a little repetitive. Other than that, tho, it's an amazing album and pretty solid.I'm not gonna say what most other reviews have said but I will note that this band must either have a tight relationship or they all hate each other to the extreme because of how fast and relentless these guys play. Or do they just make up all the music when they are off their meds?! Anyway it's no joke that these guys either are obsessed with playing fast or just have nothing better to do. Herman Li and Sam Totman are some incredible guitarists and are insane, no other way to say it. Their fingers are gonna fall off someday because the steroids they take will stop working. And Dave Mackintosh! WOW! I refuse to believe that someone can drum that fast. I know that people are always saying, "there's now way that the guitarists can go that fast" but I never hear anything about the drums! I mean is there another band with a drummer like this, because if there is, I wanna know. Until I have proof this is really a human drumming, I'm gonna say that a drum machine is what made this possible. Lastly before I tell you about the music itself, ZP Theart has an excellent voice. He sings with a lot of passion and has a very distinguished voice. On to the (Abnormally) fast music in this album:1. Through the Fire and Flames- For those of you that don't know this one, it's that really fast song in Guitar Hero. But seriously, it's a great song. I like the melody and just the song.2. Revolution Deathsquad- I think that this is the best song on the album (even though tracks 1 and 4 are the singles). This one just has the best melody and chorus of all the songs on the album IMO.3. Storming the Burning Fields- Another very melodic song. I like this one more than "Fire and Flames" too. This one is pretty dang catchy just like "Deathsquad".4. Operation Ground and Pound- This song starts off with a pretty mystical sounding drum intro. I like it. Then it becomes another catchy, melodic song with a guitar solo that goes on forever.5. Body Breakdown- This one is another underdog. The underdogs are tracks 2, 3, and this one and what I mean by underdog is that it's catchier than the singles and it wasn't even a b-side or anything! This one doesn't have the best melody but one of the best choruses: "In my heart, in my soul, I am out of control..." I like this one.6. Cry for Eternity- At this point of the album, The song being catchy isn't enough, it has to be great and have a mind-blowing melody. This one becomes filler because it just lasts forever and still follows the formula of verse, verse, prechorus, chorus, verse, verse, prechorus, chorus, 5 minute guitar solo, chorus, end.7. The Flame of Youth- This one is catchy but again, at this point, the listener is exhausted from rocking out. I really think that this one would stand good on it's own but it's just not in a good spot...8. Trail of Broken Hearts- FINALLY A BALLAD!!! This is what we needed at Track 4! Not that 4 and 5 aren't good songs, but it took me a long time to get into them because I'd listen to tracks 1, 2, & 3 and then I'd be exhausted from listening to it. I like this song but DragonForce's forte is making melodic power/speed metal songs.Verdict- Proceed with caution. If you think that you are getting something that's like Stratovarius, HammerFall, or Kamelot, then you are wrong. This band goes much faster and far beyond the norm of being power metal. DragonForce is just too power metal. They are never cease to be melodic. They are always doing something superfast and melodic. You could even say they are TOO MELODIC! The 3 aforementioned bands are fast but not this fast and their music also is more on the symphonic/progressive side of Power Metal where DragonForce is just pure Power Metal. If you like the sound of this, then Go for it. If not, you have been warned. It's a good disc though, but if you're like me and you're into stuff like Stratovarius, Kamelot, and Symphony X, this will be different from what you're expecting.

Very decent record from a very powerful band.

*by M***R on Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2014*

I have to say that after the first time that I listened to the whole record I wasn't so sure that i had made a good decission buying it But After the third time and listening in my car paying attention to the details in themusic and composition of their guitar players, I have to say that this is another solid effort by the band. Lyrics in this record are nos as good as past records, but the voice is strong and with nice variations in notes and rythym. I don't give it the five stars because I feel this record comes in a single direction, maybe I'm wrong, I can listen to it once in aday, but after repeating the whole record once, I prefer to change it, Cause I feel it's a little of thesame the whole album... having said that, I enjoy it when i play it.

Dragonforce puts the "M" back in Metal

*by W***E on Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2007*

Although not as good as their first album (Valley of the Damned), Dragonforce continues to impress me with their blazing fast riffs, complex chord progressions, and well orchestrated out of this world solos. Make no mistake, this is not the whiny touchy feely so called "Emo-Metal" that has been dominating the scene as of late. Nor is it the generic and lifeless KORN and Nickelback type crap that real metal fans have had to endure for so long. These guys are the inheritors of Dio and Iron Maiden, and I can only hope that they bring back a trend in Metal that once held an entire generation of headbangers enthralled.
