I called them and they sent the necessary parts. **Q: Does this device actually chill the water? Is ice required to use it?** A: It keeps the iced water very very cold around the knee pad. The tub doesn’t chill the water, the ice keeps water cold then it gets chilled as it goes thru the connecting tubes. This is an excellent machine. It helped inflammation for posting and pre knee surgery. **Q: I am unable to extend timer past 30 minutes? How can I program to 90 mins?** A: If I remember correctly some models time our at 30 minutes. If you have the model that goes to 90, press the 30 minutes time 3 times. I’ll confirm that once I am home. It’s an amazing machine. I would not have made it through knee replacement without it. **Q: How can I set it to run for more than 90 minutes? Need continuous run for several hours at night.** A: I believe 90 is the limit. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very cold and perfect for knee replacement. *by G***N on March 25, 2025* This machine was able to get cold and provide much needed pain relief for a knee replacement. Here is my review and comment on negative reviews.Contrary to other reviews, we had no problems with leakage or broken connectors. Yes, the light is a bit bright when you are trying to sleep (just put a towel over the display) and the beep at the end of the cycle is a little loud when you finally fall asleep, but the convenient super cold ice is definitely worth not having to get up to fill an ice pack every hour as another reviewer suggested.The machine was easy to use and got very cold. For easier use, we found that ice cubes melted too quickly in the machine and was a bit of work, so we froze two regular size plastic water bottles and 3 kid size water bottles (see photos). We kept a second set of water bottles in the freezer to swap out. This combination fit easily in the machine and kept the water cold throughout the night. The bottles were often still partially frozen in the morning. We would then swap the old bottles with the fresh frozen set in the morning which would then keep the water cold all day.The pad gets super cold; I usually had to use a lower setting. Troubleshooting: If it isn’t cold, check that the connections are fully clicked in, put the setting on maximum flow, and make sure that there isn’t a kink between the hose and the pad as there needs to be a clear path for the water to flow. I would sometimes take the pad off my knee, untwist the hoses, and look the clear side of the pad to see if the water/bubbles were flowing through the pad, then put the pad back on after I confirmed the water was able to freely flow. Note: the machine does NOT have to be level with the pad. I had kept the machine on the floor and it was easily able to pump cold water up to the height of the couch/bed.This machine is a workhorse - it was in near constant use the first couple weeks and a few times every day after that. It is still working great after a month and ready to use for the next surgery. Good luck. ### ⭐ UNUSABLE DUE TO POOR WATER LINE CONNECTIONS *by N***N on September 14, 2023* I ordered this 8/12 for a knee replacement revision scheduled 8/18. This was the 3rd ice machine I've purchased (all different brands) - I wore out the first one after TKR surgery last year, still have the second one but was concerned it was almost worn out.Yes, there's a piece of paper that says to "test fit and function" - but I knew it would fit, and didn't realize I would need to do "quality control" on a product I've already paid for. Didn't try to use it until I got home from the revision surgery. Unfortunately - the water line wouldn't stay connected to the lid - if the line got jostled much, it would disconnect - so I set this machine aside and used my old one (WHICH STILL WORKS GREAT, BY THE WAY!!). Now that I'm finally far enough into my recovery that I'm resuming household chores and such, I tried to return it a couple of days ago (9/12). Much to my dismay, the app said I was out of the 30 day window. IF that was true, it had to have been a matter of HOURS....Since I couldn't return it, decided I'd try to use it anyways and just be careful with the water lines that go to the pad. As I was hooking it up, the rubber covering for the line that actually had a tight connection came off the plastic connector piece!!! So basically - I'm out $186 with a piece of crap that I absolutely cannot use without risking leaks in at least two places.
