## Description

desertcart.com: UCTRONICS PoE Splitter 5V 4A for Raspberry Pi 4 and Jetson Nano, Active PoE+ to Barrel Jack or USB-C Adapter, IEEE 802.3at/af Compliant : Electronics

Review: The product I didn't know existed - I had no idea this existed, but I wish I had years ago. Its allowed me to replace several devices power cables, and go from 2 to a single one. Seriously, this just works, get one and don't look back.
Review: works great with Google Nest Wifi - I originally bought cheaper PoE adapters but my Google Nest Wifi pods (2023 version) would crash and flake out. With this adapter the Nest Wifi is fine. I have had 2 running for a while now and the network is stable.

## Features

- What is it - A PoE to USB C splitter to split the PoE+ signal (802.3at) into gigabit Ethernet and 5V/4A DC power, which could be adapted to USB-C or 5521 barrel port.
- What is PoE – Deliver power and data with a single Ethernet cable for fewer wall plugs and messed cables. Extend powerline to where no AC outlets are nearby, up to 300 feet away from the power source.
- Why PoE splitter – A cost-effective way to add plug-and-play PoE support to a 5V power-hungry device, such as the Jetson Nano with a barrel port or the Raspberry Pi 4 with a USB-C port.
- What else needed - You need an IEEE 802.3at compliant PoE+ switch or injector to serve as the PSE (Power Source Equipment) and an Ethernet cable with PoE+ signal to feed the splitter.
- Note – 1) This splitter does not support other voltages than 5V or QC/PD protocols. 2)This splitter needs PoE+ (802.3at) devices to unleash its full power. 3) Just put the split Ethernet aside if you don’t need the data. 4)The Split Ethernet cable does not carry power anymore.
- Non-Standard PoE Risk This splitter requires IEEE 802.3af/at PoE. Non-standard (passive) PoE switches deliver power without negotiation, which can Overvolt and damage connected devices

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this active or passive PoE?**
A: The splitter is active. It is a standard POE+ splitter capable of delivering 5 volts @ 4 Amps over CAT 6 Ethernet. I using about 25 of the splitters for over a year to power Intel Compute Sticks for digital signage .

**Q: Will this have enough power to power the hdmi ports for monitors?**
A: Well, it has enough to power one for sure. I expect it would have enough to power dual monitors as well. A standard pi usb-c power supply puts out 3.0A. This puts out 2.4A.

**Q: Is this poe splitter isolated?**
A: Yes.

**Q: Is this true gigabit or 10/100?**
A: Hello Customer, please kindly know that this is a gigabit splitter, and it can splits a PoE signal into a 5V DC power and 10/100/1000Mbps ethernet data source.

EDIT: Seller customer service sent the correct cable I ordered and paid for UCTRONICS PoE Splitter 5V 4A for Raspberry Pi 4 and Jetson Nano, Active PoE+ to Barrel Jack or PoE to USB-C PoE Adapter, IEEE 802.3at/af Compliant Key word: USB-C! Both the description and the picture indicate the unit comes with a USB-C cable. This is not true. I had to hack together a cable in order to get this to work. Its especially irksome since I paid EXTRA to get the cable that was not included over the standard model
