I am unsure about compatibility with the Commodore 64, but logic would dictate that if a regular Atari 2600 Joystick works with a Commodore then this would to as its 2600 compatible. **Q: Will this work with the Atari Flashback 9 Gold?** A: The Flashback 9 does not see it (button only, cannot use thumbstick). Only "Atari 2600" compatible machines can use it. Like a real Atari, Sears Telegames, Gemini, or Retron 77. Also works in Atari 800 series computers or Commodore 64 (no paddles, though). If you buy an "Atari" Flashback, you are stuck with their low grade Joysticks. **Q: If i run it through a usb converter can i use it on pc?** A: If you are using one of those Atari joystick to USB converters then I believe this joystick should work. I use this joystick on an Atari 130xe 8 bit computer which is the same joystick ports as the Atari 2600, so the joystick itself works just like the old Atari joysticks. **Q: Did anyone try the paddle mode on a Commodore 64? Does it work?** A: I recently bought a Ranger. It seems a quality product and the joystick was working on my C64, however the paddle was not being read (tested with Lemans cartridge). Also, while the joystick worked, it also interfered with the keyboard, even with no input.
