Pumps are not strong **Q: what is the inside diameter of the tubing? Standard airline tubing is too big. I am using the soft tubing from my CO2 diffuser.** A: I'm using standard 1/4" airline tubing. The nipple on the doser has a two-stepped fitting. 1/4" down to 3/16". **Q: Would it be safe to have pump and liquid storage container on a shelf above the tank/sump? Does it have anything that would break a siphon?** A: The pumps are simple peristaltic pumps (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peristaltic_pump), so they are essentially just simple tubes. If the seals from the rollers inside the pump were to not seal, the pump can end up siphoning in the wrong direction.
