They Make All The Difference Decorative pillows are one of the most important accessories in the home. They are the easiest and fastest way to transform the atmosphere of your home, adding luxury to your everyday life, while you can change them according to seasons and your mood. Why Are They Called “Throw” Pillows? Decorative pillows are also known as throw pillows. The name “throw” comes from how people often treat these pillows – they throw them. Although you don’t normally throw pillows literally, you toss them casually on the couch to add extra comfort and character. We highly recommend decorative pillows to everyone who wants to make their interior more vivid, cozy, and pleasant. You can choose pillows according to your interior’s furniture setup, existing patterns, favorite color, or any other factor you find important. What Makes a Decorative Pillow Luxurious? When you look at a decorative pillow's fabric, pattern arrangement, zipper, and insert, you can tell that it was manufactured with attention to detail, and through it, you can bring luxury to your home. Cotton is arguably the best fabric for throw pillow covers because it’s comfortable, versatile, affordable, and good for the environment. Plus, it comes in various thread counts, finishes, and grades. Polyester is long-lasting, tough, and durable. It’s also resistant to wrinkles and works great in any space, especially where the throw pillows are heavily utilized. When it comes to decorative pillows, what the insert is stuffed with makes a big difference. The best filling is one that provides a plush and full appearance. Down and feather make better than synthetic fillings, a mix of 20/80 is just ideal - they offer a luxurious and full look. What are MoonRest Decorative Pillows Like? Benefits of Decorative Pillows You can use decorative pillows as design elements by following a few simple tips: Get invisible zippers, Add texture, Incorporate different sizes, Pick a color scheme Keep your color palettes, materials, and patterns consistent Using throw pillows as a decorative element is far from their only benefit: They make interiors more colorful They let you experiment with your creativity They make your living room or bedroom more comfortable They complete the space, They can change with the seasons They support healthy posture, They make naps better When choosing throw pillows, one of the first things you’ll want to decide on is sizing. The size of your throw pillows can be used to create both a style and comfort level that’s ideal for your room. Standard square pillows, typically about 18 inches, sit neatly on sofas with typical dimensions. Oversize pillows, typically 20 inches, create a more casual, lounge-like feel. For a modern sofa with a very low back, most experts suggest 16 inch throws. If you want a modern look, go for an odd number of pillows, like three or five and opt for a few large pillows instead of a number of smaller ones. Experts suggest one for a chair and three or five for a standard 88-inch sofa. This will create a more uniform, clean feel to your room. You’ll also want to stick to a limited color palette and strategically include a few geometric prints as well as tightly woven fabrics. Color selection When it comes to texture, we love creating tactile contrast. Opt for textured suede against texture like leather or silk upholstery. Choose two same color pillows for a fuzzy couch; this way you’ll add warmth to the room and the couch will provide traction, remember that the textures you choose will add to the ambiance of the room. Textures like microfiber faux suede create a luxe, sophisticated relaxed feel. Plus a hint... *by on Reviewed in the United States May 21, 2024* These super deluxe pillows arrived early and are soft, super fluffy and covered with very high quality fabric and flawlessly sewn with high stitch count. My suggestion to you is to 'inflate' them in the drier AFTER filling your cushion covers as it is really difficult getting them into cover after they are full size. I puffed them up THEN tried to get them in which was quite a struggle.I used these inserts to fill some nice long hammock pillows that I made with sun safe fabric. Three brass eyelets with some matching paracord tie them onto the crossbars of the XL hammock.Highly recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Who needs a body pillow? *by on Reviewed in the United States August 26, 2024* This pillow I originally bought to decorate my bed, but it turns out it is the perfect body pillow as well. It’s a two in one. The pillow is really full, comfy and lightweight! I use it on a queen sized bed and it fits perfect. I think it is a good price for what it has to offer. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great lumbar pillow *by on Reviewed in the United States June 25, 2024* Excellent pillow. It is thick and holds its shape well, so it looks really good on my bed. I don’t use it for laying on, since it’s more decor, so I can’t speak to its comfort. However, it is full and appears full in a pillow case that is its exact size. It was packed neatly and arrived early! I am very pleased with it. For the price point too, I am even more pleased. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/204711042-moonrest-premium-lumbar-polyester-100-cotton-fabric-filled-with-100](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/204711042-moonrest-premium-lumbar-polyester-100-cotton-fabric-filled-with-100) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
