WalterDrake Kitchen Sink Mat & Saddle Rack

I had this sink-set up until a few years ago. And I had the set for years!! Back then, I got the same 2 mats and the sink saddle at Target, separately - but they cost more. After several (perhaps 7 years) of use they became quite stiff. I foolishly replaced the mats with another brand, but kept the saddle from the Target set. Once again over a period of years the sink mats got stiff & ugly and the old sink saddle got very yellow - but it still worked! Anyhow, I decided to look on Amazon to see if I could find a complete set of mats and a NEW saddle that all matched. I re-found the same set (this set here on Amazon) I that found years ago from Target. I was so happy with the quality with the 1st set & longevity of it, that I couldn't wait to purchase the same set again!Just as another reviewer stated, they are good quality mats, However, very disappointingly, the saddle does NOT stick to the sink at all. The suction cups just don't work. They have been flattened & splayed somehow. I thoroughly cleaned my ceramic sink leaving it wet, & was surprised when the saddle just didn't stick down. The very old sink saddle I had and kept from the first set that yellowed after years and years of use and abuse still sticks without fail or effort. While the new sink saddle is not sticking at all, no matter how much I fuss with it. :-/ So now what?I am giving this sink set 3 stars because the quality of the product (mats) is very good. But the saddle does not stick to the sink - which doesn't serve the purpose it was intended for. I am keeping the set of 3, however I'm going to have to try to find a way to get the saddle to stay put. I guess I'll try to find small suction cups where the backs of the cups fit snugly in the square holes in the mat. Because I have to protect my very expensive white ceramic sink, But what a pain! I don't want to deal with a mismatched set yet again.

The two mats the go in the bottom of the sink are fine, but the saddle that fits over the divider had completely non functioning suction cups. I know how to get stubborn suction cups to stick, but in this case they are malformed, and are not cupped properly. Total fail on the part of quality control. As a result, the sides of the saddle flare out and it is kind of a pain to deal with. I hope that as time goes on it will lie against the sink basin like it's supposed to. Not worth the hassle to return.UPDATE: I've had them for a few months now, and the saddle piece finally settled down and the suction cups work, for the most part. Unfortunately, I have also discovered that these stain rather easily. I had cleaned out a bowl of spaghetti, and the tomato sauce turned the mat orange for a long time. Eventually, after running it through the dishwasher, the stain faded, but it took several weeks. I am not impressed.

These are all right. The problem I have with them is that they were initially folded crooked while shipping and even after all this time, the center piece still sits uneven in the center. However they are good and sturdy.

The sink mats work, wish they were a little bigger. The sink saddle has 4 suction cups on each side, but they do not suction onto my porcelain sink, so the sides are flapping up :( . Needed better suction cups

I liked the mat but the saddle suction was horrible. The suction did not work at all. I just threw it away.

These don't appear to be rubber as advertised, they smell and look like vinyl mats. The center saddle piece has suction cups on both sides to secure it to the sink but none of them will adhere to the sink.

They are functional, but a bit flimsy. I bought them as most mats aren't compatible with our sink and I needed something to protect the flame coating on our copper sink, this was the closest I found.

I agree with others that the suction cups do not work and the sides sort of flap out. The mats give good protection but after only a few days, the one in the sink I use most often is already starting to discolor. I don't think I would order these again.
