Review: Works great!! Back to buy another. - I had previously used the Ototek loop - it worked great. Then the loop broke off one day when I was cleaning it (thank God it didn't happen in my ear!) and that made me nervous to buy another one. After some research, I decided to get this Oto-Scoop. I've used it twice now and it has worked well each time. It's more flexible than the Ototek loop but it seems to do the same thing. Only time will tell if it will last. UPDATE: After 4 years, the loop finally broke (thinnest part cracked in half, but the loop stayed attached to the wand). It worked very well all those years and I am back to purchase another (and upgrade my review from 4 to 5 stars). For reference, I used it every 2-4 weeks, whenever I felt I needed it. I found the best time to do it is right after a shower, since the wax is softer, but it will still do a great job whenever you need to do it.

I will still most likely continue trying to track down an exact replacement for my old Ototek loop and simply keep both loops on hand so that I may can have both options when needed.

**Q: Does this product use a liquid solution of any kind?  Is it filled with water for rinsing, or is it a dry picking tool only?**
A: Dry picking only...

**Q: What materials is this oto scoop made of (a hard plastic, silicone, etc)? How flexible is the loop end (worried it won't grab much if it's too bendy).**
A: It is just made out of a hard plastic, and the tip will bend from side to side, but not very much at all forward to back, if you are using it in the direction it is supposed to be used.

**Q: How long is the part that goes into the ear?**
A: The flex tip goes gently into the ear canal up to the stoppage point.

I had previously used the Ototek loop - it worked great. Then the loop broke off one day when I was cleaning it (thank God it didn't happen in my ear!) and that made me nervous to buy another one. After some research, I decided to get this Oto-Scoop. I've used it twice now and it has worked well each time. It's more flexible than the Ototek loop but it seems to do the same thing. Only time will tell if it will last. UPDATE: After 4 years, the loop finally broke (thinnest part cracked in half, but the loop stayed attached to the wand). It worked very well all those years and I am back to purchase another (and upgrade my review from 4 to 5 stars). For reference, I used it every 2-4 weeks, whenever I felt I needed it. ### ⭐ does not work well at all

This was very surprisingly disappointing. We probably would only keep this on hand in the future if a/ it were free and b/ used only as a back up. Certainly not worth the price. The plastic is very soft and the tip bends backwards. It looks like it will break off. It does not seem to extract much, if anything. In fact, it feels like it pushes wax into the ear.
