Very strong solid mount able to tight down very tight so it will not slip. For me I hand sanded the handle rubber and plastic down little bit with sandpaper to smooth out the edge more for smoother feel. After trying out one set, I ordered a second set. The knob and mount are very solid, very strong, very durable it will last a long time. It has rubber feel, not the smooth metal, wood or plastic feel, it doesn't slip. If you prefer the smooth feel, this is not the knob for you, All steering wheel knob take some getting use too, once you get the hang of it, you will like it, I think this knob in my opinion is the best value steering wheel knob for the money.
