So I plopped the dough on the scale, noted the weight, calculated what half that was, eyeballed the ball of dough it to divide it into two, then weighed one-half adding or subtracting pinches of dough until each half was @equal. Finally, loaves of the same size! Have also used it since to weigh my garden's harvested produce (potatoes, beans, squash), and recorded the weights of each day's harvest. The ability to change units of measure, easily, is a big plus too. This is going to be useful in so many different applications, and I'm just so happy to have it, especially at such an affordable price! Review: Simple and reasonably accurate - Overall, this is a nice little scale. the fact that it goes to 10ths of a gram is what sold me. However, given that it varies a bit during repeated weighing of the same item, It's accuracy, or, consistency is somewhat questionable. I just weigh the item a few times and sort of take an average when I get picky about the results I need. But, for under $20 this is a really nice little scale. The display is easy to read, and I appreciate all the different units, as well as the Tare function. I bought a plastic bowl to measure flour etc. I haven't used the internal battery yet, I just inserted the batteries it shipped with.
