There is definitely an Icy Hot type burn to it. The first time I used it all over the upper half of my leg some of which transferred to the fine china. It was rather unpleasant. I had to stop working out to was it off. So as long as your careful about that you will really like this product! It also has a twist On and Off applicator to keep it from wasting while not in use which I really liked. I can throw it in my gym bag and not worry.
