I was so impressed with the quality and comprehensiveness of the material, I promptly ordered the KAPLAN ACT and SAT PREMIER guides as well. Though other people's results may vary from mine, this book played a large role in helping me to strive for the highest score I could possibly receive in only a week's time. Using the GED ready test as a pre-test, I managed to score around 20 or so points higher on each section of the real test after taking the time to practice and study. I recommend everyone who determined to pass the GED to utilize every resource at their disposal and carefully manage their time. I think that overall this Kaplan study guide makes a great place to figure out what specific topics you should be focusing your time on in order to boost your score. I honestly enjoyed my time studying with this guide thanks to the clear, concise layout and painless navigation. The book encourages and helps students to design a customized study plan to help student's focus on the areas in need of greater development. It includes a wide multitude of practice problems, detailed explanations, lessons, and more of this same kind of content online for a grand whopping total of A LOT of content! For the price, this couldn’t have been much of a better deal for myself either. Since I discovered that this book is much more than just a compilation of 'cheap' tricks to artificially inflate your score along with other fluff such as excessive motivational pep-talk (my experience with some previous study guides), I have high expectations for the other Kaplan guides! I can’t wait to tackle my next standardized test challenge with Kaplan’s guide by my side! Let me tell u abt my experience with this book and taking the 2016 GED tests. I quit high school when I was 16. And after 3 years I finally worked up the encouragement to study and take my GED. So I bought this book and finally started studying. After abt 2 months of casually going through this book AND taking pretty detailed notes, I finished the book. And scheduled and took my 4 GED tests. I passed all 4 first try!!! Wish I hadn't waited 3 yrs after dropping out b4 I bought this book! For the most part this book gave me everything I needed to know. There were a few parts, especially on the math that I had to further study online like YouTube to understand. So there were a couple of parts it lacked in teaching me fully. But I couldn't have done t without this book! There's no way I could have! If you are about to study or take the GED test, let me tell you that if I can pass, you can pass! It's really not that bad if you study and immediately take the tests! Most of the 4 GED tests have like only 37 questions. They are just fairly hard and very time consuming.
