Remove the cage, 4 yellow clips turn ccw 90 degrees, and pull out the cord restraint.2. Remove the pump end housing, 4 phillips screws.3. Remove the impeller assembly, pry in the notches with std. screwdriver and pull assembly out, (it's magnetic).4. Clean motor assembly well.5. Insert wire tool in groves and gently remove lower bearing.6. Place new lower bearing on tube tool and insert in motor housing making sure it's seated all the way.7. Install new impeller lining up the arrows on bearing plate and motor housing seating them flush.8. Lubricate the large o-ring with silicone grease and re-install pump housing with four phillips screws.9. Replace motor assembly in cage.Great! You just saved $150 bucks! The best price for a new pump is $199.00, so $51 for this kit is a great deal to restore your pump to new working condition. ### ⭐ My original 120 volt laguna 2400 pump impeller has black blades like the photo of this product *by B***P on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on April 11, 2015* I believe Laguna uses the same part number PT461 for the replacement Impeller for the Max-Flo 2400 and the 9000 pump which are two different sizes. 50HZ for 230-240 Volt pumps for the 9000 and 60 Hertz for 120 volt 2400 pumps. My original 120 volt laguna 2400 pump impeller has black blades like the photo of this product. Amazon has shipped to me three times the 50 HZ version which has white blades and does not fit, the diameter is too large. The part that is shipped likely fits the Laguna 9000 but does not fit Laguna 2400. So... Caution. Beware. Days later... Local fish shop manager called his Laguna Rep for me describing my problem. Laguna Rep said I needed PT468 60HZ which I ordered from the shop and installed into my Laguna Max-Flo 2400 pump which is the 120V 60HZ version. Presumably the 9000 is the 230-240V 50HZ model and likely uses the Pt-461 Impeller, which was too big in diameter for my pump, it had white blades. My installed replacement impeller is labeled on the box as Art.#PT468 60 HZ has black blades and grey shielding. Under the bar code is 0 15561 20468 2. My pump manual replacement parts list does not show the PT468 for any of the six pump models in the parts list chart. Hope this is helpful. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ easy fix *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on March 5, 2014* Great alternative to replacing the entire pump.This is the only real wear item on the pump and it is replaceable.It is also the most common failure pointExpensive but lot less than the pump cost.Only critical point is I wish the cup that holds the shaft in the bottom of the pump was brass. The plastic part that is used is the wear point. Maybe offer the cup part and save replacing the entire impeller.
