The first 2/3 inches of the non buckle end can attach to any part of the rest of the strap. **Q: Can you stich through these? I need to replace some on my gazebo canopy they are sewn on to the material and then go round the frame to hold it on but** A: I would have thought it's possible but the straps I have are 40cm long. If they just need to fasten round a tent type pole, they are way too long and cannot be cut down. **Q: What is the minimum size the 16 inch strap will adjust to?** A: The actual loop or hook material finishes about 20mm from the buckle, but as the strap comes around for the second time it meets the reverse which has no hoop or loop material. So the minimum length where the hoop and loop come together is about 7 inches.(ie a circle with a circumference of 7inches).
