You could turn the flame all the way up and one had a flame so small that you couldn't even begin to light a cigar the other would spit and sputter if it would ever light. Both had been filled with nothing but Xikar's own butane ever since I got them. Both tanks had been bled several time and were empty and ready to be boxed and sent in for repair. The Vector came in and I thought I would give it a shot in the two lighters that I knew were having issues. On the first refill both lighters start working fine. Almost back to the way they did when I purchased them new. I am anxious to see how the perform as the Vector becomes the only butane that I am using. I highly recommend this. My September 2013 purchase came with FIVE additional tips. The tip on the can itself was plastic and works well on a number of torches & lighters that I have. I have at least six different butane refill brands and this one works acceptable on the largest number of refillable devices I have tried. They all tend to leak as much or more then they get inside the device I want to fill. This one works the best I have found so far. **Q: Does this have a tip or adapter for dupont L2?** A: No it doesn't. You need to buy a special screw-on refill adapter that you screw onto the DuPont lighter. Then you just use the original tip on the can to fill your DuPont. You can get the adapter on eBay. **Q: Does this butane smell a but fishy or is it odorless?** A: Butane has a smell. It's like all gas, propane, home has, methane, butane that are made.
