Although we have cleaned some shellac and plastic 78s without harm, we do not recommend G2 Fluid for that use. At this time we do not offer a cleaning fluid specifically for shellac 78s. We are sticklers so we clean the pad every 10 to 20 LP records, using the method in the instruction booklet. "Apply a few drops of laundry detergent on the pad fabric and squeeze the pad in distilled water. (Soft tap works,as well.) Rinse thoroughly then squeeze dry in a clean towel. Air dry overnight."
