## Description

The Calmotion Mazak controllers act as a data storage device for Mazak CNC machines that use the CMT-I/O interface for Mazak conversational programs. They can be used to replace the cassette tape or floppy drive units used with legacy Mazak controls such as the Mazak T1, M2, M32.... The trouble and effort of managing unreliable media used in the cassette tape and floppy disks is eliminated by replacing dated storage media with a modern flash devices. The USBCNC-MAZ stores files locally using standard off the shelf USB keys. A 2 GB flash device is provided as standard, but larger versions can be substituted. This device can also be used to transfer standard G code programs. For drip feed operation, CNC must be capable of operating in DNC mode.

## Features

- The USBCNC USB to CNC controller acts as an interface between commercially available USB flash memory and any CNC with an available RS-232 port. The USBCNC will transfer or drip feed part programs between a USB flash drive to a CNC control via RS232 port. Machine tool files can be sent from CNC memory to the USB key, USB to CNC memory or drip fed (DNC) from the USB key. Flexible DNC firmware is built into the USBCNC unit allowing connection to just about any machine tool.
