This book has so many nuggets of truth and simplistic realities that have left me feeling free and empowered. This is a book you may want to read more than once until you start to believe the truth more than the lies that have kept you where you may be today.As someone who can relate to Jonathan and understand the struggle most men battle; trying to remain pure and in good standings with God and his wife; this book has opened my eyes and dismantled the lies I was believing. There comes a time when you get sick of band-aids and things to just cover up the real problem and you're ready for the solution and you don't care how difficult it is or how much it's going to hurt; you just want healing. This is that kind of book and all of your excuses (lies) will be removed and you will see the reality and just how amazing we are in Christ and just how much God loves us. It is dripping with the truth of Scripture and beating with the heart of God that inspired the Scriptures in the first place. As a 20-year-old male with hormones, it is so helpful to understand that we are not beasts who live as slaves to our impulses, but free sons of God who were born again (John 3:6) in the likeness of our pure Father. Not only does Jonathan Welton describe this poweful transformation in detail, but he also tells us how to actually LOVE women as the sisters they are, rather than lust after them according to how the devil has convinced the world to see. It's full of theological truth and practical steps to bring our regeneration in the purity of Christ (1 John 3:3) into our experience. What an amazing book. Honestly I wasn't sure what to expect from this book when I bought it ( it's required reading for Jonathon Welton's supernatural Bible school) but once I started reading I couldn't stop! Unlike most other books that deal with pornography and lust issues, Eyes of Honor focuses on our new identity in Christ. Instead of beating people over the head with a Bible and telling them to try harder, Jonathon's book offers real help for men who are hurting and struggling with shame. Even as a woman, this book has radically shifted my view of myself, I wish I'd had this book when I was younger! Eyes of Honor is all about tearing down all the ineffective methods and sayings that have been used to "treat" men, leaving them frustrated and hopeless. This book offers so much more than temporary "bandaids" for lust, it's all about changing your view of your own value and shifting your whole mindset. I wish I could give a copy of this book to all the men in my life. Guys, skip a couple burritos at Chipotle and buy this book.
