No problem with locking screws, except for the depth adjustment arm being plastic, would be nice to have metal strip for screw contact. Nice to have both inch and metric scales.Metal drill guides match supplies oversized drill bit, most pulls have smaller screws. Should not have any issue with it being off by 1/8” inch.I set up jig for 5” centers, placed the pull on the jig & inserted screws to see if jig was close and then make any fine adjustments.Also clamping jig in positioned on the piece is a good idea and reduces “walking” - leaves both hands free.I Would agree it’s not built to last, but I don’t think I will need to invest in another one in the near future. If you’re doing a couple of dozen pulls, it’s a good inexpensive jig. I’ve done about 100 pairs without issue. This product lines up with the edges of the doors and drawers effectively and is easy to adjust to whatever size you need to make the holes for the hardware even and consistent throughout the room. I had to adjust it several times to center the handles on various sized drawers and cabinets but it was easy to do once I understood how to adjust what pieces to get the result I wanted. I would not have been able to install the hardware myself without this tool! NO WAY! It was the key to my success and I will use it on all of my future projects for sure! I definitely recommend this product!! It's durable and adjustable and easy to assemble and disassemble and conveniently comes with its own storage pouch. I’m very pleased with the tool, it makes drilling the needed holes very quick and easy. My only minor complaint is putting on the longitudinal sliding backup plate was very difficult and resulted in peeling a portion of the plastic tape with the graduations printed on it. I caught this early on and was able to reattach the tape. I then installed from the opposite end with little additional trouble.
