Review: This laser is awesome! - Ive used so many lasers and this is simply my favorite. So simple to use and really reliable and accurate! My diode did go on mine so I brought it to my local brandt dealer and they gave me one to use well they serviced mine. It took one week for them to fix the laser and give it back. Absolutely awesome! My milwaukee tools take minimum a month for service and sometimes up to 2 or 3.
Review: Great laser. Not impressed with Topcon company - I owned this laser for 2 years with no issues and it was awesome. Weighed flawlessly Everytime and was an awesome product for the money. That was until it quit auto leveling. I contacted Topcon and brought it to my local dealer to be sent it. The Topcon tech contacted me letting me know that the repairs would surpass the cost of a new laser and that none of the repairs were covered under warranty due to the fact that he had deducted that the unit had been abused in some way. This is my personal laser and no one but myself uses it and I know for a fact it was never dropped or abused. Not sure if it was an issue during transit from dealer to repair hub or what caused the damage. I won't be buying another Topcon product after this experience. Beware of "5 year warranty, unless we don't want to warranty it at all"

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this come with the LS-100D**
A: While this kit being sold here is with the alkaline battery tray and the LS-80L, Topcon does offer a kit with the LS-100D and the rechargeable battery.  The alkaline batteries and LS-100D are not offered as a kit from Topcon, if that is what you want you will have to purchase the LS-100D separately.  If I were going to do that, I'd consider the Spectra Precision HL-700 instead, nicer laser receiver than the LS-100D for the same price or less.

**Q: Should I have been batteries with this package**
A: Topcon quit providing the batteries this past summer.

**Q: Does it come with aluminum grade rod?**
A: Nope you have to buy a grade rod separately

**Q: Will the laser function correctly if flipped upside down?**
A: It will throw off the balancing mechanism. It won’t self level upside down.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent and easy to use

I like the slope setting which is useful when digging for drainage. You can accurately check at any point along a pipe or ditch to see if you are falling at the same depth. My Topcon only came with the receiver head and clamp. If I purchased again I would buy from a supplier that included the staff/gauging rod plus tripod. Its an excellent tool highly recommend.
