I downloaded the VLC player as recommended, but none of my DVDs would play. The device was working, but there must be some problem where it couldn't read a DVD. It was very difficult to get windows to recognize it, and it performed poorly resulting in frequent Windows Installer errors. This is not a Windows 10 compatible DVD drive. To be fair, the seller does not say that it is for Windows 10. They do say it works on all other versions back to Windows XP, but they are silent about Windows 10. I bought it based on reviews that said it worked fine on their Windows 10 computer, but they must have a different Windows 10 release than mine.
