Review: EXCELLENT COMPUTER - Having had the best luck with HP products over the years there was no question in my mind what brand I'd purchase when I decided to get a brand new desktop [I've been using primarily refurbs the last few years] .. and as expected, I'm glad that I stuck with HP. Out of the box this desktop has more than enough processing power for the average user, though I'm not sure that I'd recommend it for intense gaming as the power supply & graphics are a little on the weak side for that sort of thing. I do a lot of video editing and this system works well for what I do [primarily under 1 min videos] but anyone needing super high quality [professional] videos you'll want to go with the TE01-1020 model and upgrade the video card. The speed of this computer is quite fast, and doesn't skip a beat when the turbo processor kicks in [the base is2.9GHz] up to 4.8GHz .. ALSO [and this is very important if you're planning to switch to Windows 11], out of the box this model DOES meet the requirements for Windows 11 [I'm one of the beta testers] due to begin rolling out in early October 2021 ... and I'll also note that as well as this PC performs out of the box, the upgrades in W11 make this PC perform even better. Overall, this is a great computer for the average user. It's not loaded down with bloatware, HP support has an app preloaded that is actually very useful, and unwanted preinstalled apps are easily removed. Anyone shopping around for a new system at a reasonable price [especially for the purpose of running Windows 11] should definitely take a look at this one!
Review: Great value for the money, BUT return and reorder if any problems are detected, see below - Intelligent choices made by desertcart in constructing a good general purpose PC. I suspect it is not optimal for gaming as you might have to change the power supply and video card, but for everything else, including SW development, it is excellent. I had problems with my unit and learned that when a PC is new and within the time window to return it, do not mess with Customer Service, return it and buy a new one. My NEW Envy was locking. (Had to do a hard reset to recover control.) I trusted HP was professional and had my interest at heart. I will NOT make that mistake again. They had me mail my PC to them. I expected a new motherboard or just a new PC. Instead they replaced the fan. This means that my NEW unit was stressed thermally with an unknown long term effect -- it might fail after the warranty period because of the stress. The whole process took about a month. (Diagnosis with a tech on-line, mail box here, mail PC there, wait, fix, mail PC back) only to find that the DVD drive door was broken. New claim (even though I emailed HP same day it was returned.) Then mail box here, mail PC there, Mail back fairly quickly this time. Now, here's the second rub. The original door had a small spring installed making it work nicely. This spring cannot be replaced manually, so it was mailed back with a new door, but no spring (takes automated machinery to insert that spring.) So I lost over a month of usage, HP did not even offer to extend the warranty to cover the down time. The unit was stressed thermally to an unknown effect. The door works, but not as nicely as the original. So am I pleased with HP? Furious is a better term. I own four HP PCs (can supply serial numbers on demand) and an HP Deskjet printer. Over the years I have owned many more HP PCs and printers. I like HP equipment. BUT I now recommend that if anything appears wrong within the 'return' period, return it immediately and buy another. You will have less down time, less fuss, and a better result.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What are the differences between the two product styles? (as they are priced differently too)**
A: According to HP website, TE01-1022 comes with a 180W Power Supply.  The TE01-1020 Comes with a 400W Power Supply.  If you plan to add a dedicated graphics card, the 180w 1022 will probably have a hard time supporting it.  

Only other difference I see in the two models is that the 1022 comes with two 8G Sticks of Ram (need to buy 2 @ 16 to go to motherboard max capacity of 32G), and the 1020 comes with one 16G stick of Ram (only need to buy 1 @ 16 to go to motherboard mac of 32G)

Lastly, there might be a difference is Mouse/Keyboard combo.  I haven't received mine yet so I don't know for sure, but I think to 1022 comes with wired keyboard and mouse, the 1020 comes with wireless.

**Q: Does the $859.99 price include intel uhd graphic 630 card? it indicates it is included but next to the price it shows a higher price with it included**
A: The lower price option is for the HP TE01-1022.  The higher priced option showing the 630 card is actually the HP TE01-1020.  Both have the same integrated graphics card.  The Third and highest cost option is the TE01-1050(I think) and it includes a dedicated graphics card.  There are some other differences between the 1020 and 1022.

According to HP website, TE01-1022 comes with a 180W Power Supply.  The TE01-1020 Comes with a 400W Power Supply.  If you plan to add a dedicated graphics card, the 180w 1022 will probably have a hard time supporting it.

A: You can use via to hdmi cable. Any graphics card with hdmi will give you second hdmi, but this pc has very low power so I am sure you can install

**Q: Is there an ethernet port and will my 1 gig download speed work without using any adapters?**
A: it comes with a gigabit Ethernet port. can't say if your network will actually handle a gigabit download speed

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fast and great storage, but had to call customer service

The PC is fast and works seamlessly now, but...out of the box it didn't start the Windows OS. Just got to the HP logo and then stayed with a dark display. After several tries on my own, I called Amazon's customer service and had to download a Microsoft file on my laptop and then, with a usb flash drive inserted on the new PC and restart, with no success. So the associate setup a call back to get me in touch with a HP technician the next day. The custumer experience was good (althought at times it was hard to understand the difficult accent from the associate, which I don't have a personal problem with it, but she needs to take a course in conversational English). The HP technician's resolved the problem fast. It turn out the PC only needed a "hard reset" and Windows came up and the usual initial setup for a new computer followed seamlessly. I read about the same problem in the reviews before I bought it, so I wasn't too worried, but this shouldn't happened. I have bought several computers for years, since PC started, and never had this problem, including with computer bought online. It wasn't damage. Maybe had to do with the mail handling or a shoddy work at the factory. The other thing is that the front usb plugs are a little off centered in the chassis or something like that because plugging any usb takes a bit of trying. Again, this shouldn't happen with a HP computer. Probably their selling it at a lower price due to these things. Anyway, the issues where resolved fairly quick and I got a high end desktop tower for an affordable price, so I'm satisfied.
