So I opted for digital, but it's hard to find a digital clock that isn't ugly. This one is it. For one thing, it actually IS small, unlike other clocks advertised as mini but aren't. And it's unobtrusive and even beautiful. The only thing I didn't like was that when you tap the top for the backlight, the backlight is blue. But since it only stays lit for 10 seconds, it doesn't bother me. I just got it so I can't attest to its durability, but so far it works perfectly and is easy to use. A warning, though: unless you tap the top for the backlight, it's hard to see the time. I don't think this would work for me in another place during the day; but for my nightstand, it's absolutely perfect. I don't need to see the time except when I tap the top for the 10 second light. Speaking of that tap, there's nothing easier.
