"Never Settle"? Unfortunately this phone forces the user to settle on quite a number of things
Bought this phone when it first came out in Europe for €500. It was my first OnePlus purchase and it will be my last. While many users have reported a great experience using this phone, my experience was very different. The biggest issues are:- WhatsApp messages delayed - Frequently the phone will show a message saying 'Checking for messages' in WhatsApp. Then after a time, it syncs and receives a slew of messages. These WhatsApp time-outs/lags have been reported by hundreds of users on the OnePlus forums since the phone came out but OnePlus has not fixed the issue.- Phone doesn't come with native music app and doesn't recognise playlists created outside of the phone. Terrible experience trying to rebuild my music library.- User experience choosing default apps is terrible - it opens a settings menu in the middle of an action (e.g. clicking a LinkedIn link) that dumps the user in the menu with no way back to their original starting point. The language used in setting default apps is also not clear, very user unfriendly.- Phone frequently reboots at random, with no rhyme or reason.- Phone doesn't have a headphone jack, so you have to spend more money on a converter plug to use wired headphones. It's a terrible phone. For a €500 phone I expected so much better. You would be best to avoid this model and all other OnePlus phones as they clearly don't care about their customers.
