If you've tried any over the counter acne washes you have used this ingredient before. But it also contains something different that may make the difference for your skin. Glycolic acid is showing up in a lot of professional anti acne systems because it's working for people who haven't had success with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide (BP is the active ingredient in proactive). You may experience a purge of congestion the first 1-2 weeks. Also, if your skin dries out you can try to reduce the use of these products to once a day. I don't have any drying but I have heard from others with more sensitive skin that this could be a problem. I struggle with hormonal acne and this system has made a HUGE difference for me. And I have a condition that makes me pick relentlessly at it-therefore the scars. Well let me tell you-I discovered a miracle!!!! I have not had a blackhead in over a year!!! Acne is gone too! The fade cream did a great job at clearing up my scars but only need just a little more work/time and they will all be gone! My face looks MUCH BETTER than when I was a teenager. I kept saying "why would anyone spend $30 on an acne treatment system when for $12 dollars you get a guaranteed result!" Well, somebody heard me and now the set is called ClearSkin Professional and costs $30 instead of $12. Bummer. BUT I WILL PAY because IT WORKS WORKS WORKS!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot say it any better than that. Follow the process as they outline (wash/toner/cream) and you can look forward to lovely, soft, blackhead & whitehead FREE skin! A complete aside: it smells clean & refreshing too!! My set has lasted a year maybe more, so, what? I paid 0.0329 cents daily? Now it'll be 0.082 cents a day. Can that be beat?
