Short but sweet little collection
While this is part of The Rose of Versailles series, this is more of a short story collection. It's a little shorter in length compared to the rest of the volumes, but it's nice to see more of TRoV being featured!

More stories with Oscar and André!
This fifth volume of ROV contains four stories written more than 10 years after the end of the original manga. From what I can gather, they happen during the Masque Noir period, but before André loses his eye. They introduce Loulou, Oscar's quite precocious six years-old niece. While I am not a fan of Riyoko Ikeda's later character style (especially for Oscar...), I do appreciate seeing Oscar once again and the stories are fun. If you are an ROV fan, this is definitely worth a look!

Arrived on time and the book was in better condition than was described!
After two failed attempts to get this book, finally decided to try again and not only was it shipped out really quickly but it arrived safe, undamaged, on time, and the book was in much better condition that I expected based on the description!

Precioso
Una edición preciosa de este manga clásico, donde puedes apreciar el dibujo en todo su esplendor. Venía con un pequeño defecto y lo cambié por otro que ya venia perfecto sin problema.

Buyer Beware: This is the Versailles Gaiden - The Side Stories
I see in other reviews that there is some complaint that Volume Five is smaller and filled only with Ikeda's own Detective Loulou Gaiden Stories from 82 and 85.I find this is a little disingenuous, in as much as this was known to be the case long before the volume was published. It is grand to see the Loulou episodes in English, as part of the whole ark, however, I will admit that I was expecting something more from the book. Perhaps the short story from a few years back, or something from the 'Rose of Versailles Kids' line of stories. Or perhaps an interview with Ikeda - what an opportunity missed. All that said though, despite everything, this must be considered a worthy purchase, not just to complete the set, but for the worth of the stories in themselves.

Surprisingly interesting and funny nyo!
It’s so interesting how Ikeda Sensei drawing style change and mature… this volume is refreshing and funny very far of the drama of the French Revolution. A must in the Rose of Versailles manga collection indeed nyo!
