Review: fih - its a good tank, kinda tall. Never leaked for me. Reasonable price for a glass tank. Just get a 31x13 sheet of plexiglass for a lid it works fine
Review: I've Had This 55 Gallon Aquarium For Over Two Years Now. No Leaks, Great Quality - I've had this 55 gallon Tetra Aquarium for over two years now. No leaks, great quality. I got an Oase Biomaster Thermo 350 canister filter (purchased from desertcart). It has a built-in water heater, and also has a pre-filter which catches debris before it can get into the rest of the filter. The pre-filter is easy to remove and clean, which takes about 15 minutes. I clean the pre-filter once every two weeks. I got this stand for the aquarium (also purchased from desertcart), very sturdy and has the table-top design which provides uniform support for the bottom of the aquarium. https://www.desertcart.com/dp/B0CF1FFXHH?th=1 I also got an aquarium canopy with two hinged lids, LED aquarium light, aquarium gravel, and live aquarium plants (all purchased from desertcart). Instead of walking around the aquarium section of a pet store, I found it more relaxing to sit in my boxer shorts with a cup of coffee and my laptop, researching aquarium items and reading reviews...then making my purchase, and two days later the items were on my front porch.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this tank come with a lid?**
A: No, this is a tank only, as pictured.

**Q: can anyone give me the name or link of a lid that would fit the 55 gallon tank?**
A: The Marineland LED Aquarium Hood and the Tetra LED Aquarium Hood in the 24 x 12 size will both fit this tank. You will need two of them. If you do not want the plastic full hood style, then the Marineland/Perfecto Glass Canopy in the 48 x 12 size will fit it and you can purchase lights separately, per your actual requirements. I.E. planted tank needs lighting that is 6500 k. For more help, call 1-800-526-0650.

**Q: does this have black silicone? What are the exact dimensions? I'm looking to buy a cabinet that is 47 3/4 inch wide, will that fit?**
A: Black silicone, and the dimensions are 48-15/32 L X 12-27/32 W X 20-13/16 H inches.

**Q: Can a screen for the top be purchased of this?**
A: Yes. I purchased one here on Amazon. Just check measurements.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice quality tank
*by A***O on September 12, 2026*

I'm currently upgrading my old saltwater tank which was a 20 gallon to this 55 gallon tetra tank. I was impressed by how nicely package the tank was when it was delivered. It had padding around the tank to keep it in place and also some cardboard at the top of the tank. I inspect the tank and it had no cracks or broken glass and I'm very happy with the tank. Now I will say that this is a lot more expensive than the 55 gallon tanks you see at the pet store, but the convenience of having it brought to my door step was amazing.
