It requires strength to pull back and utilize it's full potential but that doesn't mean one couldn't get hurt or cause mischief with 1/2 power. I have similar, Daisy, sling shots without the wrist support for my boys 9 and 11 and they complain that they are hard to pull back. They prefer the homemade slings we made using large rubber-bands. Daisy is apparently the way to go. My other early slingshot attempts with competitors wasted time and money. It comes with the balls used for ammo and has a lot of power. The elastic or surgical tubing is really sturdy and show little signs of wearafter use for a full day of boys shooting targets and cans.
