I also bought one for a friend that was red. She said she liked it.The replacement I got was red. The red color is plastic looking where the black looked classy. My complain is that the red one I just received has very little volume. The black one had been loud for 10 months and then got lower and lower. I was pleased with it lasting a year and was excited to get my new one. I'll get a different one next..Wow! After my review posting I received an email from their Customer Services. They were very sorry I had a problem with my new speaker they were "Sending me a Replacement" FREE of CHARGE.. Unsolicited!!! I received the replacement yesterday and it works GREAT. They didn't even ask to have the one I had back. I was pleasantly surprised when I actually started using this little gem. I listen to audio books a lot so blue toothed it to my tablet and as noted you control the volume from your device. Since it so small and portable, I am able to take it with me in the next room if I am doing dishes,etc . I got this as a lightning deal-but even at the regular price it is well worth it!
