I can fit it diagonally in a 40" roller duffel bag and not have to pay for an oversize check bag. Based on other reviews, I put on a 2nd band and ground a better point on the end of the shaft. As others have mentioned, the safety is a little loose. To remedy, I just pressed my dive knife into the plastic to create some bumps to ensure the safety stays put. Gun performed flawlessly on the first outing. To get a little more range, I made a longer shooting line, which the gun already anticipates by providing a notch at the tip of the gun for wrapping one more wrap of shooting line. This will be my go to gun for reef hunting. Previously I used my 105cm Salvimar in the reef, but its higher power and length are unwelcome properties when hunting smaller fish in the rocks and coral. It will sink with the spear in place. **Q: So whats the effective range would be for 95cm?** A: I would say is accurate at 3 feet but depends on fish ... And also you cant shoot a thick fish with this it wont do anything to them example snook or something similar to it just would scratch it.. I bought it for my wife and is ok for sheaphead and small fishes at least to have fun ...is the perfect size that i would have say.. Confortable size hands doesnt get tired... But power ...umm has to be close... If you want to get something powerful comfortable and accurate i would say the jbl but the wooden one i also have it and i love it good for reload and perfect balanced under water.. Really accurate from a distance and not that expensive but thats my opinion .. I have 9 guns in total and my favorite one is the jbl but the wooden one i fogot the model tho..
