It would have taken 3 months for a gastroenterology appointment and no guarantees the physician would be competent. I was developing severe, chronic constipation of 6 months duration. Stool softeners did not work even though they did indeed create soft stools. It was a problem with motility. 4 capsules, 3x/day works miracles. BMs are completely normal. In addition feeling physically bad (difficult to explain) disappeared as well. Physical well-being improved within 3 days and stools normalized after 6 days. I was never depressed nor had any anxiety issues so my mood stayed the same.One might question the high doses but I've had no "serotonin syndrome": no agitation, nausea, or nervousness. Since my physical well-being and digestive problems both resolved on this dose I can only assume that is what I need.
