Is there anything different from the similar Sunlu dryer box that isn't upgraded?** A: Temp setting is more stable. Less friction making sure the filament goes more smoother **Q: does this work for nylon? what is the temperature setting for nylon? these are not mentioned in manual** A: I claim to be no expert, but the idea for this product is to heat the filament to a temperature below it's glass transition temperature (GTT), and maintain that temperature for several hours. A temperature closer to the GTT of the filament being dried will have a faster drying time, however using a lower temperature value should allow for the same level of dryness to be achieved, it may just increase the drying time required. I do not believe there is any harm in overdrying filament. A quick Internet search states that the GTT of nylon is 47 degrees C, this changes depending on the dryness of the material. The max temperature for this device is 55 degrees C. If I were drying nylon, I would set it to 50 degrees C, for a minimum of 6 hours prior to printing. I do not print with Nylon, but it is my understanding that it absorbs moisture very quickly, so it may be prudent to dry nylon that is new or wet for an extended period of time, 12+ hours, and to keep it in adry bag with silicate packets. When printing with it, keep it in the filament dryer, allowing it to run during the print to maintain the level of dryness of the filament. The dryer is low power, and doesn't cost much to use. Hope this helps. **Q: Can I leave this running all the time, 24/7?** A: The most it will run unattended is 24 hours, then it shuts off. You will have to reset it to 24 hours every time you turn it on - there is no way (unfortunately, I would like the feature as well) to have it on all the time. I routinely do 100 - 200+ hour prints, but I have to check this box every day. **Q: Can the dry be set to start up and shut off on its own? Easy to set the dry time and temp. I only have a limited amount of filaments, so i dont need to dry multiple spools at a time, so this was perfect.
