The thicker plastic hangers do fit in the holes, but it's kind of a tight fit and a bit of a pain to get the hangers in or out. They're easy to use and seem pretty sturdy. I got the 10 pack so it holds a pretty decent amount of clothes. I don't particularly like this product though, but it's only because of personal preferences, such as not liking how it makes my clothes look.
