All the mechanical parts work well for its scale, now remember its a small scale vehicle and you might have to do some tuning up to certain parts so it can function like the real version. For example “the winch” if you see on my picture display I added a “counter weight sinker” on the hook so it can pull itself down when you release or feed the winch, works like a charm..

**Q: Does the main boom fully extend and then you can add the jibbs?**
A: Yes the main boom fully extends. The last two sections fold into place.
Be aware that this is very top heavy and has a tendency to tip over with everything extended.

**Q: Can you tell me if the black portions of the extension booms extend out and what is the total height fully extended?**
A: It appears that it doesn’t boom out. The other answer I’m assuming was from the manufacturer about referring to the product pics. They just show the fly jib erected none of them show the boom extended.

**Q: How do you assemble the crane cable? No directions in the box.**
A: No assemable required for this item. Thanks.

**Q: Is this vehicle to big for a HO scale setup display**
A: I think it's about the same scale.

As a former retired crane operator, I have operated cranes simaliar to this. I purchased it for a display piece and not as a play toy. I must say that it is very detail oriented and realistic. For my purpose, I give it a ten out of ten.
