## Description

This is a 144-LED intensity adjustable ring light for stereo microscopes with a mounting size 2.4" (61mm) in diameter. The ring light has 2.5" (62.5mm) inside and 3.64" (92.5mm) overall outside diameters. It works with power supplies from a 100-240V and comes with a 1-7/8" (48 mm in diameter) ring adapter. With variable intensity control, it provides cool, even, intense, and focused shadow-free illumination. It is an ideal durable cool light source for all stereo microscopes. This kit comes with one year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Review: Surprisingly not too shabby - I’m usually against buying cheap versions of equipment but in this cast I was proved wrong. It’s surprisingly good quality and considering the price, I’m very happy with it. I’ve used expensive professional ring lights ($200+) for work in the jewelry industry and so far this one is right up there with them at 10% the price. The brightness control knob feels surprisingly smooth and the power adapter fits snug in the jack so I’m not worried about it accidentally pulling out. The case is plastic but it’s not bulky like some of the other models I’ve used, especially considering it houses all of the controls. It’s a light.. it works well, it’s cheap, and doesn’t feel like junk.. don’t waste your money on the expensive versions that are made pretty much the same

Rock solid in seconds...! ( I mention this because not all plastics work with all adhesives, but this held securely for months now with recommended product....order a tube in case you have the same situation with your Bausch & Lomb stereo microscope.)

**Q: will this withstand a reasonable amount of vibration? it will be used with a drill press...**
A: Good question, but I feel the answer is No.   The 3x set-screws that hold the light onto the microscope are threaded through plastic.   I don't believe that this would stay tight and in place on a drill-press.

**Q: How does it fit a mounting size of 63 mm when the ring light ID is only 60 mm?**
A: I have a protective plain glass lens on the bottom opening which has a smaller outer diameter than the bottom part of the microscope. I screwed my light onto that rim. Btw. This light is awesome I paid hundreds for my first and second set of lights. They never last long and the LED lights fail one by one and the light gets dimmer and dimmer. Lets see how long this one last. So far absolutely no complaints

**Q: I work with a soldering iron under my microscope and I like to add this unit to light the working surface. Is the housing metal or plastic?**
A: I work with a soldering iron under my amscope stereo zoom with this unit, which has plenty of room. the worst that can happen is you will put a burn mark on the housing if you are not careful. The light works great and isn't hot like the flourescent bulb type, it is a great product for the price.

**Q: Will this light fit a se308pz microscope**
A: As and wonder of this light I have a Meji stereo Micro scope. I have a place to use the set screws. They are flat not tapered.  Looking at your scope I’m not sure if the tapper would present a problem?  Your call

I mounted this item to the quill of one of my drill press's and it works great. It uses M5 thumbscrews I substituted with soft-tip setscrews; this was done to help minimize vibration and allows for secure mounting without over-tightening; in this application, the supplied thumbscrews would otherwise fracture/break its collar from vibration while in use. Nifty product; saves me from having to make one myself...
