I found it worked very well as a bluetooth speaker paired with my iPad. Very decent sound for a causal get-together on the backyard patio. However, it didn't seem to have nearly the audio oomph I needed as a speaker for my outdoor home theater. AND...when I plugged in the 3.5mm headphone jack to try and give a direct signal from my projector's audio source, the controls became very wonky (couldn't seem to control volume up or down).On the plus side, the speaker matches my Peridot Luxxella Outdoor Patio Sectional perfectly and it is a solid bluetooth speaker for casual gatherings where we want some music playing. The sound is great for such a small and inexpensive device, and it's adorable. There's a lot of volume if you want it, but it sounds great at low volume too. I use it outside on the deck and while working in the garden, inside just about everywhere, and even in my old Honda that doesn't have an aux connection. It's amazing how long it goes without recharging.Connecting to my iPhone is a little awkward, but a lot of that is on the iPhone side. You've got to hold the on/off button down quite a while to get the connection. I find the volume buttons difficult to manage, so I control the volume from my phone. I gave a red one to my daughter's boyfriend for his birthday, and he loves it too. I love the lime green. The sound quality is fine for most needs and good for the price point of the speaker. Volume like stated by others you need to get used to but its not a big deal.
