That is why there is a collar on it. It will work on your vac if you push your hose end past the collar and into the adapter. These are outside diameters at the narrowist point, middle point, and widest point in inches. 1.00, 1.54, 1.94 1.25, 1.29,1.33 1.37, 1.42, 1.46 1.49, 1.50, 1.51 The inside diameter of the smallest step is 0.86 inches. I assume the inside diameter of the others would be slightly less than widest outside diameter of the previous smaller step.
