Review: Great for hobby projects. - I've purchased 2 sets of these now for small speaker box projects. Clear crisp sound and surprising surround and base for the size. One set is running on a 5V DC board with decent sound all the way to the top. Another is running on a 12V, they distort and the extreme high end of volume but still handle the load without risk of damage. A little pricey but the ease of installation and quality make it worth it.

The bmr12 has a certain clarity in the mid to high that is normally absent from a cheap speaker, they also are highly directional allowing for better left and right stereo separation. The bass isn't huge but with good speaker boxes is more then adequate.
