Of the 100 pins, more than half are white and only two are yellow. When one purchases a package of something that is described as an assortment, there is an expectation that there will be some balance. With more than 50% being white, I believe the statement (mostly white) would be more honest. They are very sturdy, in fact, they will easily enter cork board. I had to use a blunt object to get them in the wood behind my map though. Which fact I am totally pleased with as well. I want these things to stay in to memorialize events.I tried to write on them with indelible ink. The banners are sturdy, unyielding plastic. They are not meant to be written upon, so if you are looking for labels try elsewhere.I like the variety in colors.
