Two inputs in (220volt) and two outputs to the heater. It is rated at 3,600 watts max. Some thermostats just have two wires to control the baseboard. This one actually shuts the power off to the baseboard. Saves money since it is not constantly feeding the baseboard. You need to buy the correct one for your application. E **Q: Has anyone had experience with a 1-2-hour power outage? Does it retain the last setting?** A: Theirs no memory. It’s a capacitor that retains it. If you loose power long enough maybe a day or two.
