Review: Testing Video & Review - I bought this firstly to reupholster a very old footstool in need of a new cover. I chose this one based on good reviews, the desertcart brand name, and its reasonable price. It arrived in a sturdy cardboard box with a polystyrene inlay, shaped to hold the staple gun and box of staples, which I’ll keep to use as a handy storage case. Included is a very helpful, easy to read, and concise instruction booklet. The staple gun feels weighty, strong and fits comfortably in the hand. Turning the wheel at the top clockwise adjusts the force for tougher jobs, resulting in the staples firing into the material more powerfully. In the video above, the wood I put two staples into is very hard and solid, and as you can see they went in fully, quite easily. Turning the wheel anticlockwise delivers less force, so would be more suitable for delicate jobs. The handle is relatively easy to press if you are pushing it downwards onto a solid surface. Of course, as with any staple gun, using at arm's length reaching high up a wall could be more tricky. The three types of staples included are handy for various uses. The standard square-shaped are strong and work well. The U-shaped set are ideal for securing thin cables, and I have used these a few times already with good results. The “nails” are effectively panel pins, and differ in that they can be used two at a time (see photo above). They’re fired into the material 10 mm apart, so the same separation as the pins of each standard staple. All good so far. -Pros: • Strong build quality: Metal not plastic • Simple to use • Reasonably priced • 3 assorted staple types included • Effective on solid/hard materials • Adjustable power settings -Cons: • More staples would be helpful • No storage/carry case Overall, this is a first-class product; strong, reliable, effective, and easy to use. **Q: Will this work for stapling fairy lights round a ceiling**
A: I would say so

**Q: what size of staples does this use ( U type) ? 8mm, 10mm,  14 mm**
A: I’ve used both 8mm and 10mm and it works perfectly with both.

**Q: Does this staple the strips of a tongue & groove fence panel**
A: Hi, it is quite heavy duty and I have used it for upholstery and some garden shed work. I stapled the roofing felt to the wood with some stronger, longer staples and it's held well.
It would depend how thick the straps are.

**Q: Can be used in the back of the frame to fix the back of the painting?**
A: Yes it would if soft wood, problem is if the frame is hard which they usually are, it may split it. You may well have to use glue.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Left a staple in the barrel….

Bought this to staple plastic trellis to a fence. Does the job, needs a fair amount of grip strength (adjustable but then you lose “driving” power). Followed the enclosed instructions to remove staples before locking but I had to brace it against the worktop to put the lock on, and that’s how I discovered it had left a staple behind…. I have managed to get it out of the worktop with minor damage. Thank goodness I hadn’t braced it against my thigh.
