This is for the tailgate for an F150 (mine is a 2011) and has a couple of pin bosses on the back for aligning into the hole sin the tailgate. It fastens with double sided foam tape already in place. **Q: I have a 2009 F150 Platinum, will this fit my front grill?** A: i dont think it will. i think the grille changed after 2008.
